About Web & Jay

Web and Jay have played music together for twenty-five years. Along the way, there have been other musicians who have joined them for some occasions, but generally they have performed as a duo. Somehow, they have even remained good friends. Web is originally from Maryland and Jay from Colorado. They first saw each other at a venue in 1997 and played together even before they officially met. Something clicked and they have been together ever since, both residing in northwest Wisconsin. Most of their engagements are in that area, which includes Duluth Minnesota and the Twin Cities region.

Musically, they each bring much experience and talent to the stage. Although they come from different musical backgrounds, they share a love for the classics of the 60’s and 70’s. They also maintain their own individual tastes, having played in hard rock, jazz, Cajun and bluegrass bands. Both are multi-instrumentalists.

Their typical show is never short on variety, with song choices spanning six decades. Many of the selections are played in their own unique style. While several styles of music are shared, they tend to specialize in songs from the mid 60’s to the mid 70’s, when the turbulent times of hippies, protests, Vietnam, freedom of expression and the British invasion influenced our country’s music. It is obvious they enjoy playing together and engaging the audience.
